How to reach Valmorel from the airport
Valmorel sits at the entrance to the Tarentaise valley: after Albertville, the road leaves the valley at Aigueblanche, before Moûtiers, and climbs about twelve kilometres to the resort. You do not have to drive up the valley to the high-altitude resorts, so the journey stays reasonable from each of the four airports.
Geneva Airport to Valmorel

From Geneva, the route runs via Annecy and Albertville before turning off at Aigueblanche towards the resort. It is the link chosen by many international visitors. Your driver meets you at baggage reclaim and sets off without changing vehicle.
Lyon Airport to Valmorel

From Lyon-Saint-Exupéry, the motorway runs via Chambéry and Albertville: it is one of the longest journeys on this page, but the road stays mostly motorway as far as Aigueblanche. Allow extra time on busy Saturdays in high season.
Chambéry Airport to Valmorel

Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc is the closest of the four airports. The route follows the Combe de Savoie and Albertville on fast roads before the climb from Aigueblanche to the resort. Handy for a weekend or a late arrival: you reach the resort quickly.
Grenoble Airport to Valmorel

From Grenoble Alpes Isère, the route joins Chambéry, crosses the Combe de Savoie, then goes via Albertville and Aigueblanche. The airport handles many winter ski flights: your driver tracks your flight and waits for you, even if it is delayed.

Valmorel is largely pedestrianised: cars stop at designated road points, and you may have to finish on foot with your suitcases, on snowy streets in winter. Your driver picks the stop closest to your door depending on snow conditions and arrival time.

On departure, pickup takes place outside your accommodation or at the nearest road point, at a time set around your flight, with a margin for the descent to Aigueblanche.

The vehicle is reserved for your group alone: no stops for other customers, no changing between train, coach and resort shuttle.

Frequently asked questions about taxis in Valmorel
How far is Valmorel from the airports?
Chambéry is the closest: about 90 km, 1 h to 1 h 20. Geneva is about 125 km away, Lyon and Grenoble about 180 km, or 2 h to 2 h 30 in normal conditions. After Aigueblanche, the mountain road takes longer on snowy days.
Can a taxi take me directly to my accommodation in Valmorel?
Yes, as close as possible: because Valmorel is largely pedestrianised, your driver drops you at the nearest road point to your hotel, chalet or residence and points you the way on foot if needed. Give us the full name of your accommodation when booking so we can prepare the arrival.
How much is a Valmorel airport transfer?
The fare is fixed per vehicle: from €380 from Geneva, €420 from Lyon or Grenoble and €320 from Chambéry by sedan (van from €430, €470 and €370). The calculator shows your price before you book; €50 deposit, the balance goes to the driver.
